Rainy Tuesday

Thursday was my last day of teaching.  Last time I quit teaching, I worked full time at my husband's office.  This time I am going to work at his office, with less hours.  I want to focus on sewing, quilting, card making, baking.....in other words, trying to be creative!
This morning I made banana zucchini bread.  I think it tastes great.  http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/zucchini-banana-bread

I had hoped to finish placemats and start on Ursula's quilt.  That didn't happen.  Here are two projects, ready to be quilted.  I am going to practice quilting on the placemats, first.
The blue table runner is for Cathy's birthday.  I still have to quilt it.  Lucky for me, her birthday is next week.  Cathy did something really special for me, so this is a "thank-you" and "Happy Birthday"!  Hope she likes it.  The border fabric is Summer Breeze II by Sentimental Studios for Moda.  The pinwheels were made by the lil twister with scrap fabric.

This heart is a wall hanging.  I was hoping to use it as a table topper.  Looks a bit too big for my table.  I will have to quilt it and hang it....soon!    The fabric used for the heart is Always and Forever by Deb Strain for Moda.  I used the lil twister tool for this, also.

Sew Saturday!

My husband is away for the weekend. Usually, I think I will get a lot done and I don't. Today I have a plan! I went to the fabric store (2) yesterday. I had a plan for Ezra's blanket, bought fabric. When I got home, looked at the fabric and pattern, I changed my mind. And of course I need more fabric! LOL. The ladies said I would be back sooner than I thought. Wow, they were so correct.
The plan for today:  finish heart quilt and start on Ursula's quilt.
